Preliminary Checks:
Before actually aligning the blade to the miter slot you should be certain the blade you'll be aligning is still in a favorable condition. Ensure its cleanliness, tightness, flatness, sharpness, and inspect its general wear. After inspecting and possibly cleaning or replacing the blade, ensure it is installed tightly and properly.

Blade Alignment:
To begin aligning your table saw blade, you'll first want to raise the blade to its highest possible point. Choose a specific tooth on the blade to use as a reference point. You may choose any tooth on the blade and my also elect to mark it in some fashion (with a marker, piece of tape, or etc) to ensure total accuracy throughout the alignment process.

Next, rotate the blade forward moving the reference tooth towards the front en of the saw table. When your reference tooth becomes level with the front of the table, measure the distance between the reference tooth and the miter slot. Note the distance and rotate the blade in the opposite direction until the same reference tooth is level with the rear end of the saw table. Measure and note this distance as well.

If there is a difference in the two distances, adjust the saw accordingly. Your table saw's manual may have specific instructions with regard to this adjustment, as such it is recommended that you refer to it where adjustments are needed. Using the same reference tooth, repeat this measuring and noting process until the measured distances are the same.

Makes Clean, Razor-Sharp Cuts in Wood and Wood Composites
Achieving premium results when ripping and crosscutting a mix of wood and wood composites is all about clean, accurate cuts. The Freud D1050X makes this process easy, fast, and precise. And its multi-purpose versatility minimizes blade changes between tasks, which ultimately saves you time.

The Freud D1050X's five blades are separated by large gaps and notched with closely-grouped teeth. This combination design offers you the high tooth count required for clean crosscutting, along with the large chip-removal space required for hassle-free ripping.

Contractors, construction workers, and avid do-it-yourselfers will want to keep this blade on hand for those projects that need just one blade to handle both ripping and crosscutting. This blade can be used to cut through wood and wood composites, such as particleboard and medium-density fiberboard (MDF).

Produces Smooth, Quiet Cuts with Laser-Cut Kerf
The Freud D1050X's clean-cutting design means that you can enjoy the comfort of smooth performance. The thin 0.98-inch kerf between the blade's 50 ATB (alternate-top bevel) teeth is laser cut to provide ease of feed, so you have more control over the blade's position. This helps maximize both the accuracy of the cut and the efficiency of your work, so you enjoy a job well done and the ability to complete more tasks in less time.

An added bonus, the blade's laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce noise and vibration during operation, keeping your work environment more relaxed and your hands more in control. This feature also reduces friction and warping, helping to extend the blade's cutting life.

Features Shock-Resistant Carbide for Long-Lasting Precision
So you can count on it over the long term, the Freud D1050X is designed for durability. The blade's hardy teeth are protected by Freud's exclusive shock-resistant TiCo Hi-Density Carbide formula, which helps fight wear and tear and maintains blade sharpness up to four times longer than standard carbide. And protecting the blade is Perma-Shield Non-Stick Coating that provides resistance to heat and corrosion.

Fits Miter and Table Saws
The Freud D1050X is a great addition to your workshop because it's designed with the versatility to fit a variety of miter and table saws.
